LIGHTSUM Films Debut Japanese MV on Kabukicho Tower Rooftop

LIGHTSUM filmed the music video for their Japanese debut title track on the previously unused rooftop of Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku. The group's major debut mini-album 'Re:idol' will be released on September 23, 2026.

The production process for the title track 'どうして' was featured in the sixth episode of the ABEMA original documentary series 'Re:Idol', which aired on September 13. Director Mitsunori Yokobori, known for his work on Vaundy's '融解sink' and Nogizaka46's '君に叱られた', oversaw the video.

Yokobori stated his vision was to show a clear transformation, starting with the members' typical styling and evolving into a new image for the group.

The documentary previewed scenes from the rooftop shoot, including a performance against the Shinjuku skyline and an ending scene featuring member Hina. The 'Re:Idol' documentary concludes with its seventh and final episode on September 20.
