Machi Akari & Katsura Sando Release 'Guchi ga Hatetara' Music Video

The music video for 'Guchi ga Hatetara' by the duo Machi Akari & Katsura Sando is now available. The song was released digitally in March.

Katsura Sando, who is also a rakugo storyteller, directed, shot, and edited the video himself. Filming took place on the historic staircase of Yoshimoto Kogyo's Tokyo headquarters, a converted former elementary school.

Comedians Fujii Takashi and Tsubaki Oni appear as guest performers, dancing on the staircase landing.

In a comment, Fujii Takashi called the track a masterpiece with a catchy melody by Machi Akari and inventive lyrics by Katsura Sando. He encouraged viewers to learn the dance, specifically the "♪Guchi hatete tetete" part.

Tsubaki Oni noted the shoot felt like a fun TV recording. She said Katsura Sando created a scene where she could just sit due to her shingles pain, while Fujii Takashi danced intensely. She described it as a message that "a landing is not just for dancing, it's okay to sit too."

Katsura Sando simply expressed his happiness at working with two talented friends.
