Netflix Film 'Chou Kaguya-hime!' Features New HoneyWorks Song

Netflix will release the original anime film 'Chou Kaguya-hime!' globally on January 22, 2026. Directed by Shingo Yamashita, known for his work on 'Jujutsu Kaisen' and 'Chainsaw Man', the film's trailer topped YouTube's 'Trending Movies' chart with over 15 million views.

The film features music from renowned artists including ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), and HoneyWorks. HoneyWorks has released a music video for their new song 'Watashi wa, Watashi no Koto ga Suki.', performed by the film's protagonist Kaguya, voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi.

Set in a virtual world called 'Tsukuyomi', the film follows high school student Ayaha Sakayori, who balances her busy life with her passion for the virtual space. She encounters Kaguya, a mysterious girl from the moon, and together they embark on a journey of music and friendship.

The animation is produced by Studio Colorido and Studio Chromato. The film's main theme, 'Ex-Otogibanashi', is performed by Saori Hayami as Tsukimi Yachiyo.
