The TV anime 'Ranma 1/2' continues with its second season, featuring the return of the character Mousse. Episode 23, titled 'Akane Kidnapped,' airs on December 11, 2025. This episode sees Mousse challenging Ranma to a battle, using water from the Drowned Duck Spring to trap Akane in a tank.

Renowned manga artist Rumiko Takahashi, known for works like 'Inuyasha' and 'Urusei Yatsura,' created 'Ranma 1/2.' Her global accolades include the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame induction in 2018 and the French government's Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2023. Her works have sold over 230 million copies worldwide as of August 2024.

The anime adaptation of 'Ranma 1/2' began airing in October 2024, with the second season premiering on October 4, 2025. It broadcasts on Nippon TV every Saturday at 24:55 and streams exclusively on Netflix immediately after airing.

Episode 23's staff includes storyboard and direction by Kimiko Ueno, with Yasuyuki Kaneko as the chief animation director. The episode's animation is supervised by Yoshiko Saito, with contributions from Hajime Koizumi, Shiho Tanaka, and Maho Yoshikawa.

The series follows Ranma Saotome, who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water and reverts to a boy with hot water.
