Sakanaction's 'Kaiju' Tops J-WAVE's 2025 Chart

J-WAVE (81.3FM) announced its annual top 100 chart on January 1, 2026, during the 'J-WAVE NEW YEAR SPECIAL SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100 THE ANNUAL COUNT DOWN SLAM JAM'. Sakanaction's 'Kaiju' claimed the number one spot. The track, released after a three-year hiatus, also served as the theme for the TV anime 'Chi. - Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite -'.

In second place was 'Golden' by the fictional group HUNTR/X, featured in the hit anime film 'KPOP Girls! Demon Hunters'. HANA's 'Blue Jeans' secured the third position. Other notable entries included BLACKPINK's 'JUMP' at fourth and Mrs. GREEN APPLE's 'Lilac' at fifth.

Sakanaction's Ichiro Yamaguchi shared his gratitude. After a two-year hiatus due to health issues, the band returned with a tour in 2024 and released 'Kaiju' in 2025.

The top ten featured a mix of international and Japanese artists, including BE:FIRST, Fujii Kaze, ROSE & Bruno Mars, and Kenshi Yonezu. For the full list of rankings, visit the official website.
