Shueisha Celebrates 100 Years with Online Manga Expo

Shueisha has launched the SHUEISHA MANGA EXPO to commemorate its 100th anniversary. The year-long event features exclusive content from renowned manga artists and celebrities.

The expo includes a special project titled 'Memorable Episodes Chosen by Manga Artists,' where over 40 manga creators select and comment on their most memorable works. The series kicks off with Akimoto Osamu, known for 'Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo.' Subsequent contributors will be announced on the expo's website.

Another feature, 'My Recommended Manga,' involves over 20 notable figures from various fields sharing their favorite manga. The first entry is by professional soccer player Takefusa Kubo, who recommends titles like 'ONE PIECE' and 'NARUTO.' The series will continue to introduce recommendations from global icons, with updates available on the website.

Shueisha's centennial celebration also includes various special collaborations, with details to be revealed throughout the year on the expo's site.
