Synxro Project Launches to Create New IP from Fictional Anime Openings

The Synxro Project, led by creative company KUROGO with support from Kodansha Creators Lab, launched with its first work today.

The first release is the opening theme for Ishoku Shokushoku Ju, titled "Glass World's End." The song is a collaboration between the project and electronic artist DE DE MOUSE, with vocals by Ichito Sanjuichi. The full animated opening premiered on YouTube.

The project plans to develop successful openings into full anime series, manga, or novels.

The opening's music is available on global streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. The video is on the project's YouTube channel.

The story of Ishoku Shokushoku Ju is set in a world devastated by war over resources and climate change. A 13-year-old girl named Hotaru travels with a mobile food stall, having lost her memory. In an era where fine cuisine has vanished, she dreams of one day reviving ramen.

The Synxro Project plans to release one new work each month through the end of 2026, for a total of five in its first phase. The next four openings are scheduled for September through December.
