TV Anime 'Kakunaru Ueha' Sets January 2027 Premiere

The TV anime adaptation of the romantic comedy manga Kakunaru Ueha will premiere in January 2027.

After his romance manga is rejected for lacking realism, the introverted protagonist Yuuki is approached by his bubbly classmate Niina. She proposes a 'practice relationship' to help them both understand love for their work.

Yuuki Uehara is voiced by Ayumu Murase. Miyamoto Niina, who goes by Nina, is voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro.

Ryo Akao, known for series composition on Laid-Back Camp and My Next Life as a Villainess, is handling series composition and scripts. Toshisuke Ishikawa directs, with character designs by Hiromi Nakagawa. The anime is produced by INFINITE and animated by ROLL2.

The manga, written by Yumi Takahata and illustrated by Yuji Kaba, is serialized in Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine. Volume 8 is scheduled for release on September 29.

An official TikTok account for the anime has been launched.
