Uru Releases New Single '今日という日を' for '教場 Requiem' and Announces Album 'tone'

Uru's new single '今日という日を' will serve as the theme song for the upcoming film '教場 Requiem', set for release on February 20, 2026. The single will be available digitally from February 9, 2026.

The '教場' series, which began with the 2020 special drama, has expanded into a well-received franchise known for its intense and realistic portrayal of police training. '教場 Requiem' is the concluding film, following the Netflix exclusive '教場 Reunion' released on January 1, 2026. The film stars Takuya Kimura and is directed by Isamu Nakae, with a screenplay by Ryoichi Kimizuka.

Uru has previously contributed the theme song '心得' for the series and continues her collaboration with this new track. '今日という日を', written and composed by Uru, is a grand ballad capturing the perspective of the series' central character, Kazama Kyojin, and his students.

In addition to the single, Uru will release her first album in three years, 'tone', on February 18, 2026. The album will include singles that have featured in various dramas, films, and anime, alongside new recordings. It will be available in three editions: a video edition, a cover edition, and a standard edition.

Uru will also embark on a hall tour, 'Uru Tour 2026「tone」', starting in Osaka in July 2026.
