Uru's New Single 'Sorenanoni' to Theme TV Asahi Drama 'Ani Imouto'

Singer-songwriter Uru will release a new digital single, "Sorenanoni," on October 21. The song has been selected as the theme for the TV Asahi Saturday drama "Ani Imouto," starring Nana Eikura and Eiji Akaso.

The drama begins airing on October 17. Uru wrote and composed the track specifically for the series, describing it as a medium-tempo rock ballad about conflicted, painful emotions. Arrangement was handled by Yoshiaki Dewa.

Pre-saves for the single are now available on Apple Music and Spotify. A promotional video for the song and drama collaboration has been released on YouTube.

"Ani Imouto" is a love suspense drama written by Noriko Yoshida and directed by Takehiko Shinjo, the same team behind the 2024 hit "Destiny." It follows two sets of siblings intertwined by fate. The series is a milestone for its leads: it's Eikura's first TV Asahi drama lead and her first drama lead role in 12 years, and Akaso's first lead role for the network.

The main cast also includes Yu Miyazaki, Tatsuaki Kimura, Junki Totsuka, Daisuke Nakagawa, Shima Ise, Yuno Ohara, Katsumi Takahashi, Yasuko Tomita, Keiko Takeshita, Mieko Harada, and Toru Nakamura. Music for the drama is composed by Yuko Setake.

Uru released her album "tone" in February and recently completed a sold-out national tour. The new single is her first release since marking her 10th major debut anniversary in June.
