Voice Actors Discuss New 'Digimon Beatbreak' Anime

Toei Animation has released an interview with voice actors Yohei Azakami and Daiki Hamano, who play Sawashiro Kyo and Murasamemon in the new TV anime 'Digimon Beatbreak'. This series marks the first new Digimon TV anime since 'Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna' in 2020.

Azakami, a fan of the original 'Digimon Adventure', expressed his excitement about joining the franchise. Hamano, also a fan from the 'Digimon Adventure' era, was surprised by the integration of AI companions, which serve as digital partners in battles.

Both actors reminisced about their childhood experiences with Digimon, sharing memories of watching the series and playing with Digivices. Azakami mentioned that familiar Digimon appear in new forms.

Hamano highlighted the natural dialogue and drama in 'Digimon Beatbreak'. The character dynamics, particularly between Kyo and Murasamemon, are central to the story.

The series explores themes of strength and vulnerability, especially in episodes like the seventh, which delves into Kyo's backstory. The actors emphasized the importance of the relationship between Kyo and Murasamemon.
