Yo Oizumi's 'Kagero' to Feature as Ending Theme for Anime 'Kakuidori Ushu Borotobi-gumi'

The TV anime 'Kakuidori Ushu Borotobi-gumi', based on Shogo Imamura's novel, will feature Yo Oizumi's new song 'Kagero' as its ending theme. The anime will air from January 11, 2026, on the CBC/TBS network.

'Kagero' marks Oizumi's first anime tie-in song, composed by Koji Tamaki. The lyrics, co-written by Oizumi and Tetsuya Gekkou, draw inspiration from the anime's storyline, which revolves around themes of loss and resilience. The song will be available for digital release on January 25, 2026, on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

Oizumi is known for his roles in 'Detective Is in the Bar' and 'The Floating Castle', and his participation in international film festivals.

The anime will be available for streaming internationally, with episodes released weekly on platforms like U-NEXT and Anime Hodai from January 12, 2026.
