YOSHIKI to Perform Japanese National Anthem at 2026 F1 Grand Prix

YOSHIKI will perform the Japanese national anthem at the 2026 FIA Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix. The performance is scheduled for March 29 at Suzuka Circuit before the start of the final race.

The race will be broadcast in over 180 countries and territories. YOSHIKI plans to perform "Kimigayo" using both piano and drums.

"It is the greatest honor as a musician to perform the Japanese national anthem at Suzuka Circuit, a world-class stage for motorsport," YOSHIKI said in a statement. The performance will follow his third cervical surgery and subsequent rehabilitation.
