Super Kaguya-hime! Film Announces New Theater Perks After Box Office Milestone

The anime film 'Super Kaguya-hime!' has crossed 1 billion yen at the Japanese box office. New theater-exclusive content begins March 27.

A third wave of viewer gifts, the 'Chibi Kaguya Galore Sticker', will be distributed at screenings from March 27 to April 2. A series of five weekly 'welcome announcements' featuring character messages will also play before screenings, starting with the character Kaguya.

The film, a Netflix original directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, has spent five consecutive weekends in Japan's top 10 attendance rankings. A recent nationwide 'post-screening' event, where viewers could post to social media, trended at number one in Japan and globally on X.

The project features songs from Vocaloid producers ryo (supercell), kz(livetune), 40mP, and HoneyWorks. Animation is handled by Studio Colorido and Studio Chromat, the latter being Oshiyama's newly established studio.

The film's official theme song is 'Ex-Otogibanashi' performed by Saori Hayami as Yachiyo Tsukimi. The ending theme is 'ray Super Kaguya-hime! Version'.
