The Tokyo-based "hardcore J-Pop" band the bercedes menz has released the music video for "morning star." The track is the opening theme for TV Tokyo's new drama series 夫を殺したはずなのに (I Thought I Killed My Husband), which premieres July 6.

The MV features a nostalgic, emotional narrative centered on a young girl in a school setting. In the final scene, the previously masked three-piece band briefly reveals their faces during a performance.

"morning star" is included on the band's May-released album weapons. The drama is a time-loop revenge suspense series based on an original manga by Akashi Mana, published on LINE Manga. It follows the success of the previous series 夫の家庭を壊すまで (Until I Destroyed My Husband's Family), which recorded TV Tokyo's highest-ever catch-up streaming numbers.

The band, known for its mysterious identity and minimal public exposure outside of live performances, has gained attention in Japan's band scene. Their live shows have prompted venues to impose specific entry restrictions. Their first solo live show at Shibuya WWW in February 2026 sold out immediately.

The drama will air Mondays atいに:06 PM on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations. After each broadcast, episodes will be available for streaming on U-NEXT. Catch-up streaming is also available on TVer.

The band will hold a release party for "weapons" titled "PRINTED HEAVEN" at Daikanyama UNIT on July 24, 2026.
