YOSHIKI Receives Entertainment Community Fund Medal of Honor

YOSHIKI received the Entertainment Community Fund's Medal of Honor at a gala in New York on June 1. He is the first Japanese artist to receive the award in its 116-year history.

At the ceremony, YOSHIKI announced a new $100,000 donation from his Yoshiki Foundation America to support the Fund's mental health programs.

The Entertainment Community Fund is a national U.S. organization supporting people in the performing arts and entertainment industries. Past Medal of Honor recipients include Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro, and Audrey Hepburn.

In his acceptance speech, YOSHIKI stated the Fund's mission was personal. "Through many losses, pain, and years of trying to help people, I learned one thing," he said. "Saving others is also saving yourself."

At the event, it was noted that his $500,000 donation for California wildfire relief in early 2025 included support for the Fund.

YOSHIKI will headline the Global Citizen Live: Tokyo event on June 18. He is scheduled to perform at the Japan Expo in Paris on July 10.

His YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2026 concerts are set for July全体 16 and 17 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The shows are titled "Scarlet Night" and "Violet Night."

In August, he will hold seven sold-out 'Evening / Breakfast with YOSHIKI' dinner shows at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo.
