YOASOBI's 'Yuusha' Music Video Hits 200 Million Views

YOASOBI's music video for "Yuusha," the opening theme for the anime Sousou no Frieren, has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube.

The song was written specifically for the first cour of the anime, which began airing in September 2023. It is based on an original novel, 奏送, written by Kisō Jirō and supervised by the manga's original author, Yamada Kanehito.

The music video was produced by Madhouse, the same studio behind the anime. It features original animation following the journey of Frieren's party—Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen—with a particular focus on the bond between Frieren and Himmel.

"Yuusha" was released digitally on September 29, 2023. The song is written, composed, and arranged by Ayase, with vocals by ikura.
