Quruli's 'Barano Hana' is Theme Song for 'Mienai Musume THE INVISIBLES'

The Japanese rock band Quruli will provide the theme song for the upcoming film 'Mienai Musume THE INVISIBLES'. Their 1999 song 'Barano Hana' (Rose Flower) will accompany the main trailer, which was released today.

Three people praying together in a dimly lit room

It follows a worrywart father and his three daughters—the youngest of whom is an invisible person—as they travel to Tokyo to visit their hospitalized grandmother. The trailer, set to Quruli's track, shows the family navigating their journey while trying to keep their secret.

Director Ryo Takebayashi, known for the time-loop office comedy 'MONDAYS', described the song's appeal. "I was drawn to its brightness, like light shining into loneliness," he said. The song was written and composed by Quruli's frontman, Shigeru Kishida.

The film reunites the creative team behind 'MONDAYS', including writer Saeri Natsuo. The cast includes Katsuya Maiguma as the father, Rinko Suzuki as the invisible daughter Hikari, Hana Kon and Yama Yama as her sisters, and veteran actress Kimiko Yo as the grandmother.

'Mienai Musume THE INVISIBLES' is scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on August 28, 2026.
