Anime 'Shioama' Sets October Premiere with Oishi Masayoshi, HoneyWorks Themes

The TV anime adaptation of the popular light novel Shio Taiou no Sato-san ga Ore ni dake Amai (The Salt-Correspondence Sato-san is Sweet Only to Me) will premiere on October 6, 2026. The opening theme will be performed by Oishi Masayoshi, with the ending theme by HoneyWorks featuring Hoshikawa Sara.

A main promotional video and second key visual were released alongside the announcement. The new visual depicts the main characters, Sato Koharu and Oshio Sota, together during the magic hour.

Oishi Masayoshi's opening track, "Sugar Salt," will be digitally released on October 6. The artist, also known for the band OxT, said he was thrilled to work on a series he already loved.

HoneyWorks and vocalist Hoshikawa Sara's ending theme, "Hatsukoi Reply," is scheduled for release on September 29.

The anime will begin streaming on platforms including d Anime Store and U-NEXT from 22:30 JST on October 6, with other services to follow. A pre-broadcast special featuring the main cast will stream live on the Shochiku Anime YouTube channel on October 27.

The series is based on the light novel by Saruwatari Kazami, with character designs by A Chiki. Animation production is handled by Tezuka Productions.

The main cast includes Ishibashi Aira as Oshio Sota, Ito Miku as Sato Koharu, and Tomita Miyu as Sudo Rinka.
