Anime 'Maid-san wa Taberu dake' Announces Broadcast Details, Cast Featuring Snow Man's Daisuke Sakuma

The upcoming anime 'Maid-san wa Taberu dake' (The Maid Just Eats) has confirmed its broadcast schedule, streaming availability, and key voice cast. The series premieres on Japanese television on April 5, 2026.

Snow Man member Daisuke Sakuma will voice Chun, a sparrow mascot that provides food trivia throughout the show. The main cast includes Kana Ichinose as Suzume, Chiyo Suno as Ricotta Fresca, Maki Kawase as Nana Komatsu, Shizuka Ishigami as Sora Endo, and Hiromi Igarashi as An Shinzuki.

The anime will air on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, BS Asahi, and AT-X. Streaming begins with an early release of episode one on April 1 via d Anime Store, ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hodai. Subsequent episodes will stream weekly from April 5. The opening theme is 'Ribbon' by majiko, and the ending theme is 'Shiawase Flavor' by ARCANA PROJECT. Music is composed by Yoshinori Kitagawa of ROUND TABLE.

A special pre-broadcast live stream is scheduled for March 20, which is World Sparrow Day. The program will feature voice actors Kana Ichinose, Chiyo Suno, Maki Kawase, and Hiromi Igarashi. It will stream on the Happinet Anime Official YouTube channel.

'Maid-san wa Taberu dake' is based on the manga by Susumu Maeiya, serialized in Kodansha's Comic Days. The story follows Suzume, a maid from an English mansion who moves to a small Japanese apartment and develops a keen interest in local food. The anime is produced by EMT Squared and Magic Bus.
