Anime 'Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore dake ga Osowarenai' Sets January 2027 Premiere

The anime adaptation of the web novel Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore dake ga Osowarenai (In a World Overflowing with Zombies, I'm the Only One Not Being Attacked) will premiere in January 2027. A teaser trailer and main cast have been revealed.

The series was originally slated for a 2026 broadcast. Production company Frontier Works stated the delay was for quality assurance.

Wataru Kato will voice the protagonist, Yusuke Takemura, a man with a unique constitution that makes him immune to zombie attacks. Yuno Higashi will voice the heroine, Miyuki Fujino.

The story follows Takemura in a world overrun by zombies. He chooses to act on his own desires rather than become a hero. The series is based on the novel by Rokuro Uraji, published by Nox Novels, with a manga adaptation by Chihiro Masuda currently serialized in COMIC Laguchu.

The anime will air on the Japanese satellite channel AT-X. The staff includes director Kazuya Fujishiro, series composer Yasushi Hirano, and character designer Megumi Ishihara. Music is composed by ISAO.
