Ascendance of a Bookworm's 'Noble Academy' Arc Gets TV Anime Adaptation

The popular fantasy series "Ascendance of a Bookworm" will receive a new TV anime adaptation. The anime will cover the "Noble Academy's Self-Proclaimed Librarian Committee Member" story arc from the light novels.

WIT STUDIO, known for its work on "SPY×FAMILY" and "Attack on Titan," will handle the animation. The studio previously produced the "Lord's Adopted Daughter" arc of the series.

The "Ascendance of a Bookworm" light novel series has sold over 14 million copies, including digital editions. The story follows Myne, a book-loving girl reborn in a medieval fantasy world where books are scarce. In this new arc, Myne awakens from a two-year slumber and enters the Noble Academy, a school for young aristocrats. Her focus quickly shifts from her studies to the academy's large library.

The anime will be available for streaming on Prime Video shortly after its Japanese broadcast. Other listed platforms include d Anime Store and Nico Nico.

The original light novel is written by Miya Kazuki with illustrations by Shiina You. A manga adaptation by Katsuki Hikaru is serialized on the Corona EX platform.

The "Noble Academy" arc is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
