BEAT&MOTION Anime Adaptation by MAPPA Set for 2027 Netflix Release

Shueisha's MILLION TAG competition winner, the manga BEAT&MOTION, will receive an anime adaptation. The series will be animated by studio MAPPA and stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix in 2027.

The announcement was made during MAPPA's 15th-anniversary lineup presentation. A first promotional video and teaser visual were released.

The series follows Ryohei Hirayama, a young man who has lost his dreams, and Nico Kashiwagi, an indie musician who still believes in hers.

Voice actors for the main roles have been confirmed. Shuuichiro Umeda will play Ryohei Hirayama. Aya Gomatsuru will voice Nico Kashiwagi.

The manga, created by Naoki Fujita with editor Shihei Hayashi, was serialized on Shonen Jump+ from February 2023 to January 2025.

Key staff includes director Yuki Komada, series composition and script by Misaki Morie, and character design by Kazunori Aoki. Animation production is handled by MAPPA.

The official website and X account are now open. The anime BEAT&MOTION is scheduled for a global Netflix release in 2027.
