BLACK TORCH Anime Reveals Episode 2 Preview and Non-Credit Ending Video

The anime series BLACK TORCH has released a story preview and screenshots for its second episode, which airs July 11 at 22:00 JST. The non-credit version of the ending animation is now available on YouTube.

The episode, titled "The Choice Is Yours," follows protagonist Jiro after he wakes in a hospital room. He learns he is under surveillance by the government's secret organization, the Kogi Onmitsu Bureau, which had sealed away the legendary creature Rago for years. Jiro is told he will be treated as a missing person for his role in merging with Rago.

A broadcast schedule change is noted for RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, where the episode may be delayed by up to 120 minutes due to volleyball coverage.

The newly released ending video, set to I Don't Like Mondays.'s song "Groooovy," shows casual, everyday moments of the Black Torch members, including Jiro, Rago, Ichika, and Reiji.

BLACK TORCH began airing on July 4. The series is available for streaming on multiple platforms, including Prime Video, Disney+ Star, and YouTube Rental for international viewers. The anime is produced by the global animation label 100studio.

The story follows Jiro, a high schooler raised as a descendant of ninjas who can talk to animals. His life changes when he meets a wounded black cat named Rago, who is actually a legendary creature known as the "Black Ominous Star."

The main voice cast includes Ryota Suzuki as Jiro, Yoji Ueda as Rago, Sayaka Senbongi as Ichika, and Junya Enoki as Reiji. The opening theme is "FREEZE ME UP" by SiM.
