BLACK TORCH Episode 10 Preview and Synopsis Released

The preview and synopsis for Episode 10 of the TV anime BLACK TORCH have been released. The episode airs in Japan on September 5, 2026.

The episode, titled "Yabasugiru Sukiru," follows protagonist Jiro as he enters the "Forest of Unlight," the territory of the mononoke Ibuki. He meets a mysterious white snake and shares his thoughts about the black cat Rago. A new mononoke wielding a giant sickle appears before him. Meanwhile, the mononoke Tengu works to gather allies scattered across the land.

The anime is produced by 100studio and began broadcasting in July 2026. It features an opening theme, "FREEZE ME UP," by the band SiM and an ending theme, "Groooovy," by I Don't Like Mondays..

BLACK TORCH is available for international viewers on several streaming platforms, including Prime Video, Hulu, and Disney+ Star. Episodes are also available for rental on YouTube. The series has dedicated English-language social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram, as well as an official English website.

The main cast includes Ryo Suzuki as Jiro, Yoji Ueda as Rago, and Saeka Chigomoto as Ichika Kishimoji. The series is based on the manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki, published by Shueisha.
