Hana Hope releases 'Hearts Glow', produced by David Baron for anime 'Goodbye Lara'

Hana Hope's new single 'Hearts Glow' will be the ending theme for the original TV anime 'Goodbye Lara'. The song was produced by David Baron, known for his work with Lana Del Rey and Shawn Mendes, and recorded in Woodstock, New York.

The anime 'Goodbye Lara' is a 15th-anniversary project from studio Kinema Citrus, the studio behind 'Made in Abyss' and 'My Happy Marriage'. It is a retelling of 'The Little Mermaid', set 200 years in the future on Lake Biwa.

'Hearts Glow' builds from an acoustic guitar opening into a full band arrangement. The 20-year-old artist, who splits her time between Japan and studying at a U.S. university, wrote the song.

The track will be available on digital streaming platforms from July 22. A CD release follows on August 5.

Hana Hope performed at MUSIC AWARD JAPAN last weekend. She will perform at summer festivals in Japan, AFTER WORK FEST 2026 in Malaysia, and LaLaLa Fest 2026 in Jakarta.

The anime 'Goodbye Lara' begins broadcasting in Japan on July 5. It will be simulcast on various streaming platforms.
