MAN WITH A MISSION releases new single 'The Animals' for Japanese film

MAN WITH A MISSION will release their new digital single 'The Animals' on September 18. The track serves as the theme song for the Japanese live-action film 'Wara ni mo Sugaru Kemono-tachi' (Desperate Beasts).

The song was written specifically for the film. Band member Jean-Ken Johnny stated the track was created by extracting inspiration directly from the movie's narrative, which depicts the struggles and blurred lines between good and evil among people consumed by desire.

The film, based on a novel by Keisuke Sone, is a suspense story about various individuals whose lives intertwine after discovering 100 million yen. It opens in Japanese theaters on September 25.

'The Animals' will receive its world premiere radio airplay tonight, September 15, on the J-WAVE program 'THE KINGS PLACE', which Johnny hosts. The single is available for pre-save ahead of its digital release.

The track will also be included on the band's upcoming single 'Firestarter', scheduled for physical release on October 28. The release will come in multiple editions, including a limited version with a DVD.

MAN WITH A MISSION has also announced the 'Firestarter Tour 2026', with dates in Tokyo and Osaka this December. The band continues a busy schedule of domestic festival appearances through November.
