Medalist Manga and HANA's 'Cold Night' Release Collaboration Music Video

A special collaboration music video has been released to mark the publication of the 15th volume of the manga Medalist. The video pairs scenes from the award-winning figure skating series with HANA's song Cold Night, which serves as the opening theme for the anime's second season.

The video, published on the Kodansha Afternoon YouTube channel, focuses on the protagonist, Inori Yuzuki, who dedicates everything to figure skating after discovering it. The video's visual motifs are inspired by compulsory figures, the origin of the sport's name.

HANA's track Cold Night, her first anime theme song, was released in January 2026. The song is available for download and streaming via universal links to platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.

The manga Medalist, created by Tsurumaikada, follows former skater Tsuyoshi Akiraze as he becomes a coach for aspiring young skater Inori Yuzuki. The series has won several major awards, including first place in the Next Manga Awards 2022, the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2023, and the 48th Kodansha Manga Award in 2024.

Volume 15 of the manga went on sale July 22, 2026. A theatrical anime film adaptation is scheduled for release in 2027. An ultra teaser PV for the film is currently available.
