Nao Yoshioka releases 6th album 'self' with Grammy-winning collaborators

Nao Yoshioka has released her sixth studio album, 'self'. The project features collaborations with Grammy-winning artists including Bilal, producer Peter CottonTale, and trumpeter Keyon Harrold.

Other featured artists are Jamila Woods, Devin Morrison, MXXWLL, and Misha. The album spans genres from neo-soul and Afrobeat to house and spiritual jazz.

Yoshioka described the album as a form of therapy. The theme explores the concept of 'self', integrating both light and shadow aspects of her identity.

A music video for the track "Yet to Come," featuring Keyon Harrold, will premiere on July 24, 2026. It was filmed at Lake Yamanaka, a location significant to the album's creation.

The album is available now on streaming platforms. Physical CD and limited clear vinyl LP editions are also for sale.

Yoshioka will support the album with a world tour across Japan, Europe, America, and Asia. Japanese dates are scheduled for October 2026 in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo.

Her previous album, 'Flow', charted on Billboard's UAC chart and was followed by an 11-country world tour.
