Nao Yoshioka Releases New Single 'Shelter' with UK's Sam Wills

Nao Yoshioka released a new single, "Shelter," featuring UK soul artist Sam Wills on July 10. The track is the final song on her album 'self.'

Sam Wills, based in southern England, is known for work with Tom Misch and Jorja Smith. He received a Grammy nomination for his contribution to Lucky Daye's album.

Yoshioka visited Wills's studio during her UK tour. "His music has a healing energy," she said. "I wanted to create a healing song with him."

She described "Shelter" as the most gentle and warm track on the album. The lyrics reflect a desire to feel protected and loved. Yoshioka said she hopes the song can become a place of rest for listeners.

The single is available globally on digital platforms.

Yoshioka will perform a series of Japan tour dates in October 2026 under the 'self' World Tour banner. Shows are scheduled for Fukuoka, Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo.
