Nobuhiro Munemasa and Shunryu Collaborate on New Single 'Fly Out! Night Floor!'

Nobuhiro Munemasa released his 6th digital single, 'Fly Out! Night Floor!', on August 24. The music video premiered the same day.

The track is the first collaboration between the independent singer-songwriter and composer Shunryu. Shunryu has written songs for AKB48, SKE48, Love Live!, and THE IDOLM@STER.

The partnership began after producer Junji Yuasa, who worked on Munemasa's debut song, suggested he sing a Shunryu composition. The three met at a karaoke session where Munemasa performed Shunryu's songs, leading to the collaboration.

For 'Fly Out! Night Floor!', Shunryu composed the melody, Munemasa wrote the lyrics, and Masataka Kubo handled arrangement and guitar. Yuasa returned as producer.

The song is a dance track blending funk and disco with digital sounds. Munemasa described the lyrics as a message to all challengers: "The lead role is always yours. Even if you're still in a place without the spotlight, taking one step forward can make you the lead in your own life."

Choreographer Kazuo Nishida, who has worked with AKB48, Nogizaka46, and =LOVE, appears on camera as a performer rather than behind the scenes. Dancer KENGO and all seven members of the idol group Laplace also star. Shunryu and Kubo make guest appearances.

"I decided from the start that I wouldn't do things halfway with this song," Munemasa said. "The connection with Shunryu and Yuasa came from my independent activity, which feels a bit mysterious to me. I want people to see and hear the finished work itself."

The single is available on digital streaming platforms including Apple Music.
