Produced again by Daniel Nigro, the album contains 13 tracks. The lead single, 'drop dead', made Rodrigo the first artist to have the lead single from each of her first three albums debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

A Japanese deluxe edition is also available. It features a 12-inch paper jacket, a 20-page photo book, flake stickers, and a clear art card. The standard Japanese edition includes a CD-sized paper jacket. Both versions contain lyrics and translations.

A limited-time cafe collaboration is running in Shibuya to mark the album's release. From June 12 to 21, Recoco Cafe Shibuya will offer a special menu item and allow customers to listen to the album on in-table record players. The event does not feature an appearance by Rodrigo.

Rodrigo's upcoming 'The Unraveled Tour' begins in September. The tour has sold over one million tickets, prompting added dates and venue expansions. Her Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum show set a new record for the highest attendance by a female artist at the venue. Eleven shows are scheduled at London's The O2 Arena, a feat matched previously by artists like Prince, Spice Girls, and Rihanna.

The full tracklist is: 'drop dead', 'stupid song', 'honeybee', 'maggots for brains', 'u + me = <3', 'my way', 'purple', 'the cure', 'begged', 'what’s wrong with me', 'less', 'expectations', and 'cigarette smoke'.

Details on Japanese retailer-specific purchase bonuses are listed on Universal Music Japan's website.
