Polygon Pictures to Animate 'TANK CHAIR' Manga for Fall 2026

Polygon Pictures will produce the anime adaptation of the manga TANK CHAIR. The series is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026.

The manga, created by Manabu Yashiro, has sold over one million copies worldwide. It is serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine.

Directing and writing duties are shared by Naohiro "Tady" Yoshihira, known for his work on Star Wars: Visions and Knights of Sidonia, and Yuki Ando, director of Ajin and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea. Music will be composed by Masaru Yokoyama (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans).

The story follows Nagi Taira, a top assassin left comatose after protecting his sister. He only awakens when targeted by intense "killing intent." Believing this is the key to his full recovery, his sister Shizuka takes him on a violent "rehabilitation" journey against powerful enemies.

Polygon Pictures' credits include the Knights of Sidonia series, Star Wars: Visions, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
