Ranma 1/2 Anime Season 2 Concludes with Special Release Plans

The TV anime 'Ranma 1/2', based on Rumiko Takahashi's renowned manga, has unveiled the non-credit ending for its Season 2 finale, Episode 24.

The Blu-ray & DVD BOX Vol.2, featuring all 12 episodes of Season 2, is set for release on October 7, 2026. This collection includes three discs, a special booklet, and character design by Hiromi Taniguchi. Pre-orders are now open.

Season 2 has been airing on Nippon TV since October 2025, with exclusive streaming on Netflix. Starting January 1, 2026, additional streaming services will offer the series.

Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of 'Ranma 1/2', is celebrated globally, having been inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame and receiving the French government's Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters. Her works have sold over 230 million copies worldwide as of August 2024.

The series originally ran in 'Weekly Shonen Sunday' from 1987 to 1996 and continues to be a beloved classic. The story follows Ranma Saotome, who, due to a training accident in China, transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water and reverts to a boy with hot water. The comedic martial arts romance involves Ranma, his fiancée Akane Tendo, and a cast of eccentric characters.

The non-credit ending for Episode 24, now available on YouTube, features Ranma and Genma in a humorous scene with Akane. Previous non-credit endings are also available online.
