Ranma ½ Season 3 Appoints Comedian Seiya as Ambassador, Netflix to Stream

The third season of the classic anime Ranma ½ has appointed comedian Seiya from the duo Shimofuri Myojo as its promotional ambassador. Seiya will also make a guest voice appearance in the season.

Season 3 premieres on Nippon TV in Japan on October 3, 2026. Episodes will be available for exclusive streaming on Netflix immediately after the Japanese broadcast.

Seiya commented on the appointment. "I became a promotional ambassador because my love for it went overboard," he said.

The original manga by Rumiko Takahashi has sold over 230 million copies worldwide. The new anime adaptation, which began in 2024, features the return of the original voice cast, including Katsuyuki Konishi as Ranma Saotome and Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendo.

A special advance screening event is scheduled for October 3 at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo. The event will show the first two episodes of Season 3 and feature a talk session with Konishi, Hidaka, and Kōichi Yamadera. A ticket lottery for the event is now open.

The anime is produced by MAPPA. The full staff list and cast includes Megumi Hayashibara, Akira Ishida, and Miyuki Sawashiro.
