Star Rise Launches 'Purrfect Mocha' YouTube Animation Project

Studio Star Rise has announced a new original YouTube animation project titled 'Purrfect Mocha'. The series will consist of short, slice-of-life comedy skits.

The writers handling the scripts are Airai Shiroishi, Koko Kobayashi, Riro Arizo, and Kyuryu Nagayama.

Visuals will be handled by illustrators including Ido and Dura, both of whom have had their music featured on OnlyHits Japan. Other illustrators are Hikage-shi, Tenten, and Monobe.

The setting is modern Japan, with stories loosely connected by a cafe.

Star Rise confirmed the project on January 23, 2026.
