Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Muro Tsuyoshi, Sakana-kun to perform theme for 'Nezumi-kun no Chokki' anime

The upcoming TV anime adaptation of the classic children's book series 'Nezumi-kun no Chokki' has revealed its theme song. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra will perform 'Good Luck! My Friend' featuring actor Muro Tsuyoshi and celebrity 'Sakana-kun'.

The anime premieres April 4, 2026, on NHK Eテレ. A promotional video featuring the song and the voices of lead actors Kenjiro Tsuda and Mamiko Noto is now available on YouTube.

The song is produced under the JUSTA RECORD label. Lyrics are by Atsushi Yanaka, with composition by NARGO and arrangement by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. Vocals are by Tsuyoshi Muro and Kinki Mokke, with Sakana-kun on soprano saxophone.

Mokke said the recording session with Muro and Sakana-kun was lively and full of smiles.

The 'Nezumi-kun' picture book series was created in 1974 by the husband-and-wife team of Yoshio Nakae and Noriko Ueno. It has sold over 5 million copies domestically and 16 million overseas.

The anime is directed by Nobuyoshi Habara, with character design and CG direction by Kazumori Yasuda. Production is handled by Creadom8.
