Toua stages first solo concert, bringing debut album 'This is Toua' to life

Toua performed her first solo concert, 'This is Toua', at Zepp Shinjuku on September 20. The show was structured around the four thematic chapters of her debut digital album, released on September 16.

The performance opened with the track "Miller Miller." Toua appeared on a stage designed as a misty, luminous forest, wrapped in a veil and a silver-sequined outfit. She performed with four dancers through a set of dance tunes including "Haute Couture," "MY ROUTINE," and "TYPE B."

The concert's narrative followed a transformation from a cocoon to a butterfly. In the second chapter, Toua's wardrobe shifted to a vibrant dress. She performed more introspective songs, introducing "10" as a track about loss and gratitude, and "BEST FRIEND" as an anthem for friendship.

For the third chapter, she returned in a fairy-like costume with butterfly wings, performing against visuals of a butterfly flying through a night city. The set included "ARU ARU ARU," the album's lead single, which prompted a crowd sing-along. The popular track "I am I" also featured call-and-response with the audience.

After the main set, Toua returned for an encore dressed in casual wear. The segment included fan Q&A and introductions of the dancers. She closed the show with "keep on living," a message song she described as her first written directly for her listeners. Lyrics were displayed on screen as she sang, finishing the performance visibly moved.

Toua's debut digital album, 'This is Toua', is available on streaming platforms.
