TV Anime 'Leave This to Me and Go On Ahead' Premieres July 6 on Prime Video

The TV anime adaptation of the popular light novel series 'Leave This to Me and Go On Ahead: I Became a Legend After Ten Years' (Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita.) will premiere on July 6, 2026. The series will be available globally on Prime Video starting July 3, three days ahead of its Japanese TV broadcast.

The opening theme song will be performed by sajou no hana. The series is based on the light novel by Ezogingitsune, which has over 4.45 million copies in circulation. A manga adaptation is also serialized on 'Manga UP!'.

The story follows S-rank mage Ruck, who stays behind to hold off a demon army so his party can escape. After a decade-long battle, he returns to find himself hailed as a legendary hero. Hiding his identity and now appearing younger, he begins a new life as an F-rank adventurer named Rock.

The first episode, titled 'I Came Back and Was a Hero,' details Ruck's reunion with his old friends Eric and Golan. The main cast includes Kaji Yuki as Ruck/Rock, Ishikawa Yui as Serlis, and Sagara Mayu as Shea.

In Japan, the anime will air on channels including TOKYO MX, AT-X, and BS11. Alongside Prime Video's global early release, it will stream simultaneously on ABEMA and d Anime Store for Japanese viewers from July 6.

Animation production is handled by studio Gekkou. The staff includes director Kambe Hiroyuki, series composer Hirota Mitsutaka, and character designer Majiro. The music is composed by Osumi Tomohiro.

The official website and X account have launched. The eighth light novel volume is scheduled for release on July 15, 2026, with the 20th manga volume following on July 7.
