TV Anime 'The Strongest Mage's Seclusion Plan' Reveals Loki Key Visual, Casts Yui Ogura

The TV anime adaptation of the popular light novel series The Strongest Mage's Seclusion Plan has revealed its first character key visual. The visual features Loki Reybeher, a partner to the protagonist, Ars.

Loki is depicted in the simulated battle arena of the Second Magic Academy, holding a knife-type AWR, a mage's weapon.

Voice actress Yui Ogura has been cast to play Loki. Ogura is known for roles including Cure Etoile in HUGtto! Precure and Manhattan Cafe in Uma Musume Pretty Derby.

In a comment, Ogura described Loki as a young mage with solid abilities who supports Ars as his partner. "I'm focusing on how to express her deep trust and respect for him, and the single-minded feelings that lie beneath that," she said.

The character Loki is a mage from the military who specializes in lightning-system magic. Having trained in the military since childhood, her highest mage rank is 157th. She swore to devote herself to Ars after he once saved her life.

The anime is scheduled to broadcast in 2027 in the "Agaru Anime" timeslot on the CBC/TBS network across Japan. The story follows Ars, humanity's strongest mage, who retires from the front lines at age 16. To earn a peaceful, secluded life, he agrees to go undercover at a magic academy to train the next generation, only to be drawn into new conflicts.

The main promotional video is now available on YouTube. The original light novel series by Izushiro, published under HJ Bunko, has surpassed 1 million copies in circulation. A manga adaptation, The Strongest Mage's Seclusion Plan - The Alternative, is also published by Square Enix.
