TV Anime 'The Vermilion Mask' Sets October 2026 Premiere with MAN WITH A MISSION Theme

The TV anime The Vermilion Mask (朱色の仮面) will premiere on October 10, 2026, at 5:30 PM on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network. The announcement came with a second main promotional video and key visual.

MAN WITH A MISSION will perform the opening theme "Firestarter," while yutori provides the ending theme "Voice" (声).

The new PV depicts protagonist Per Derest's struggle to atone for a past sin, while the second key visual features the imposing "War God Mask" central to his quest. The series follows Per, an apprentice to a legendary mask-maker, who is controlled by a mask and unintentionally kills his master. He sets out on a journey to destroy the remaining masks.

The cast includes Taiki Kimura as Per Derest, Yuki Yamamoto as Sonare Maywood, Kazuki Ura as Mok Sharib, and Takanori Hoshino as Gouon. The cast also includes Kenji Nojima as Hien, Aoi Koga as Rasgal, Yuki Shin as Clown, Akihisa Wakayama as Linne, Aya Endo as the Spirit Mask, and Yui Horie as Master.

The anime will be available internationally on Prime Video. The series is animated by 100studio, directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe, with series composition by Daisuke Daito and character design by Hisashi Higashijima.
