The music video for the single premieres the same day at 8 PM JST. Actor Riku Onishi stars in the video, directed by Masanori Tanimoto, which depicts a student navigating setbacks and graduation.

"I tried to imbue this song with a deep affection, a quiet watchfulness, within its few words," Uru said of the track.

The film "Kyosho Requiem" is the second part of a series finale, with the first part, "Kyosho Reunion", already streaming on Netflix. "Kyosho Requiem" opens in Japanese theaters on February 20.

Uru's new album, "tone", follows on February 18. It will be released in three physical editions: a limited "video" edition with a Blu-ray of her 2023 live show, a limited "cover" edition with a second CD of cover songs, and a standard edition.

The album's 15 tracks include several recent theme songs: "Ambivalent" for the second cour of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries", "Never ends" for the TBS drama "DOPE", "Tegami (Letter)" for the film "Yukikaze", and "Sobara nite Tsukiyo (By Your Side on a Moonlit Night)", a song provided by back number for the film "Kusunoki no Bannin".

Uru has also announced a 2026 national hall tour, "Uru Tour 2026 'tone'", with dates running from July through October.

The digital single "Kyou to Iu Hi wo" is available for pre-save. The album "tone" is available for digital pre-order and physical CD pre-order.
