Yufu Announces Two Double-Sided Singles and First Tokyo Solo Show

Yufu's debut album 'Heal Me Good,' released in 2025, draws on 1960s and 70s Motown and Stax sounds. The lead single 'Honey If You’re Extra' surpassed 1.5 million streams and was featured on Spotify's US 'Retro Soul' and Dutch 'Soul ’n’ the City' playlists. The album also won Best R&B Album at Taiwan's 2025 Golden Indie Music Awards.

The first single, 'Side Effects May Include / Back In Your Eyes,' arrives digitally on October 6. 'Side Effects May Include' concludes the narrative arc of the debut album. The B-side, 'Back In Your Eyes,' is described as a love song about a man praying for a single wish.

The second single, 'A Scorpio Affair / Theme Of The 8th House,' follows on November 10. 'A Scorpio Affair' was crafted for the Scorpio season, while 'Theme Of The 8th House' sonically explores themes of mystery and intimacy associated with the astrological sign.

Both singles will be released as 7-inch vinyl records on November 25 via Kissing Fish Records and diskunion.

Yufu's first Tokyo solo concert, 'Yufu "Heal Me Good" Live!', is set for November 21 at Shimo-Kitazawa BASEMENTBAR. The setlist will include tracks from the debut album and the new singles. The 7-inch records will be available for early purchase at the venue.

Tickets for the Tokyo show go on sale September 1 via LivePocket. Yufu is also scheduled to perform at the SOUL PICNIC event in Tokyo on September 26.
