YOSHIKI and Josh Groban Release New Live Version of 'Forever Love'

YOSHIKI and Josh Groban will release a new live version of X JAPAN's ballad "Forever Love" on August 28. The single was recorded at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

The song, originally written and composed by YOSHIKI for X JAPAN in 1996, has been re-arranged for piano, orchestra, and vocals. Groban performed as a guest during YOSHIKI's sold-out concert at the venue on July 17.

This version begins with a new English section written by YOSHIKI, followed by Groban singing both the original Japanese lyrics and English verses.

"Josh brought incredible emotion and depth to 'Forever Love'," YOSHIKI said. "Hearing him sing this song in Japanese moved me deeply."

Groban called YOSHIKI an icon and said collaborating on the song was an honor. "It was a true joy and honor to breathe new life into this beautiful song with him, transcending language and genre," he said.

The single will be available on global music streaming services from 00:00 JST on August 28. A trailer is available on YouTube, and the track can be pre-saved via a dedicated link.
