Aguri Onishi Announces 9th Single 'Goodbye Lullaby' at Birthday Event

Aguri Onishi announced her 9th single, 'Goodbye Lullaby', at a birthday event in Tokyo, where she also performed the new coupling track for the first time. The single is scheduled for release on August 5, 2026.

The title track, 'Goodbye Lullaby', is the ending theme for the TV anime 'Butchigire Reijou wa Hukushuu wo Chikaimashita. ~Madousho no Kuni wo Tataki Tsubushimasu~'. The coupling track, 'Watashi Sugar Spice', was selected by fans at a previous event in March.

At the event, Onishi's producer habana sent a message about the new song. "It was born from the image of 'this is the kind of song she will sing next' while making last year's concept album," habana stated. "It's completely different from previous songs, but I'm proud that we created a track where Aguri can express herself."

Onishi described 'Goodbye Lullaby' as a song she might not have had the chance to sing without the anime. During a Q&A session, she said her focus for the future is on longevity and maintaining her physical health to continue performing.

The event also featured a live setlist including her debut song 'Honjitsu wa Seiten Nari' and 'Do you agree?'. The music video for 'Watashi Sugar Spice' is planned for production.
