Hiroki Narimiya Wins Best Actor Gold at Contents Asia Awards 2026

Hiroki Narimiya received the Best Actor Gold Award at the Contents Asia Awards 2026 for his role in the ABEMA original drama 'Shinu Hodo Aishite' (Love You to Death). He is the first Japanese actor to win the gold prize in the Best Actor category.

He played Shinjo Makoto, a 'bewitching murderer', in the suspense drama. Narimiya returned to acting for the series after an eight-year hiatus.

'Love You to Death' premiered on ABEMA in March 2025 and was simulcast on Netflix, where it ranked first in Japan's weekly Netflix Top 10 series chart for two consecutive weeks. The series also recorded over 15 million total views on ABEMA.

In a statement, Narimiya said he was happy the work reached audiences beyond Japan and was honored by the award. He expressed gratitude to the director, cast, crew, and viewers.

The drama is based on a manga by Tenju Seimaru.
