TOOBOE releases 'Yumegokochi,' the ending theme for anime 'Hotaru no Yomeiri'

TOOBOE has released the new single 'Yumegokochi,' the ending theme for the currently airing TV anime 'Hotaru no Yomeiri' (Firefly's Wedding). The song is available now on digital streaming platforms.

The anime, part of Fuji TV's noitaminA block, is based on a popular romance suspense manga by Tachibana Oreko. The story is set in the Meiji era and follows a young countess, Satsuko Kirigaya, who has been told she has little time left to live, and a hitman, Shinpei Goto, who is hired to kill her but instead becomes obsessed with her.

'Yumegokochi' was written specifically for the series. TOOBOE stated the song expresses the deep emotional turmoil of Shinpei after meeting Satsuko, and the feelings he could not have experienced alone.

A non-credit ending movie for the anime's first episode premiered on October 9. The video, which features illustrations of the two main characters in a Japanese-inspired style, is available to watch.

A full-animation music video for 'Yumegokochi' premiered on TOOBOE's official YouTube channel on October 10 at 8 PM JST. The MV was produced under TOOBOE's supervision, with direction and storyboards by MIEL, character design by Mai Ohtani, and animation by Qzil.la.

The 'Yumegokochi' EP is scheduled for physical release on November 4.
