The group was created in December 2025 after a three-month competition and global fan vote. The show's main producers included (G)I-DLE's Soyeon, Gaeko, RIEHATA, and Iwata Takanori of J SOUL BROTHERS.

Gaeko of Dynamicduo is set to produce the title track for the group's debut album, scheduled for release in the first half of 2026.

H//PE Princess is managed by Chapter-I, a joint venture between Korean media giant CJ ENM and Japanese marketing firm Hakuhodo. Warner Music will collaborate with CJ ENM and Chapter-I to promote the group's activities across Asia and globally.

The group's name is a stylization of "Hype Princess." Members are Coco, YSY (Yoon Soyoung), Yuju, Doi, Rino, Niko, and Sujin.
