LISA documentary 'ALWAYS LALISA' sets Japanese theatrical release

LISA's documentary film 'ALWAYS LALISA' will have a limited theatrical run in Japan starting October 12. The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Festival, will screen in 24 theaters across the country for three days.

The feature-length documentary follows the BLACKPINK member's first year of solo activity. Directed by Sue Kim, it tracks LISA's navigation of pressure and new challenges in acting and brand building, while maintaining her private life.

Screenings are scheduled for October 12, 14, and 17, though some theaters have extended runs. Tickets are priced at 3,000 yen.

Major theaters include Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho in Tokyo, TOHO Cinemas Namba in Osaka, and MOVIX Hiroshima Station. A full list of venues and specific dates is available on the official Japanese site.

LISA's recent activities include performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, hosting the 2026 Met Gala, and an upcoming Las Vegas residency, 'VIVA LA LISA'.

'ALWAYS LALISA' is produced by Sony Music Vision and distributed globally by Trafalgar Releasing. The film runs for 98 minutes.
