Written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by You Shiina, the series began publication in January 2015. It follows a university student and bibliophile who is reborn as a sickly five-year-old girl named Myne in a world where books are scarce and literacy is low. Her goal is to become a librarian, which leads her to attempt to create books herself.

A new season of the TV anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2026. The anime streams on Crunchyroll.

A new volume of the TO Junior Bunko edition and two new manga volumes are also scheduled for release in early April.
